The picture here is a drypoint print of Daniel when he was about 9 months old with applied yellow and pink tissue paper (I can’t remember what this technique was called…)
I really enjoy doing linocuts – the bold monotones are really expressive. I also enjoy doing drypoint (in acetate) – although this technique produces fewer prints per plate as a traditional etch – I love the fact it is very quick to produce a plate and start printing (unlike have to wait to etch into a metallic plate with acid)
I also love doing monoprints – wonderfully spontaneous – very painterly – but also not, if you know what I mean!
I do hope to get back to doing some more of this at some point!
