Lollys Lounge – Laura James & her random comments on web development, music & raising small children

This was probably the jolliest moment of the day. At least I captured it on film.
Unlike Daniel’s first birthday which was an elaborate affair with lots of friends and well wishers and a picnic/barbeque in the garden and Daniel getting nekked in the paddling pool – Alex had to be content with just us 4 around him all day, sub zero icy northerly winds when I did attempt to take them outside, a barely potty trained older brother who curtailed our enjoyment of the park and a mother (me) with yet another cold, who felt so snotty she had to go to bed for a couple of hours.
Yes I’m sure he wasn’t aware that it was his birthday, and he was generally in a top mood all day so I guess I shouldn’t beat myself up about it.
Maybe I should do what Tony suggested and Photoshop Alex into some other child’s birthday pictures and pretend he had a marvellous party….
